Razor Learning launched with a focus on enterprise learning strategy and governance

March 2, 2009

Rob Pannoni and Grant Ricketts—two learning industry veterans with a unique background in enterprise learning issues related to learning strategy and governance—are pleased to announce the formation of a new consulting company, Razor Learning. The new company is the successor to LearningGovernance.com, a research and consulting company founded by Grant in 2008.  The www.LearningGovernance.com web site will continue to serve as an industry resource for information and research on enterprise learning topics.

While Razor Learning is new as a company, it is actually a continuation of the work that Rob and Grant did together at Saba beginning in 2006.  Grant, a Saba founder in 1997, was among the first in the industry to identify and promote enterprise learning governance as a discipline.  Rob’s extensive experience as an entrepreneur, business consultant, learning technology expert and global training manager led to the creation of Saba’s highly successful Strategic Services consulting practice.  Together, Rob and Grant evolved and field tested a methodology and set of tools that helped Saba customers create real organizational change around learning and talent.

With the current economic climate, the interest in “learning governance” as a strategy to reduce training costs, align learning groups and tie learning and development activities to business outcomes is greater than ever.  Razor Learning will allow Rob and Grant to continue to provide leadership, insight and best practices on enterprise learning and talent issues and to assist an even broader range of organizations.
